As the immediate past president of the Washington Government Relations Group (WGRG), the African American lobbyists association, he championed diversity and inclusion within the industry. WGRG honored Marcus with the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award at their signature event, the Tin Cup Awards, that Marcus founded.
