Director of Government Relations
Ayshia Connors is Director of Government Relations at the Madison Group. Often identified as a “rising star” in the Republican party, Ayshia R.J. Connors is a policy developer and influencer. Born and raised in Utah, Ayshia’s interest in government and public service began while attending Arizona State University, where she completed a triple major in business communications, public policy and public service, and global politics.
Ayshia brings extensive federal legislative policy expertise to the Madison Group. Connors joins the firm after working for several Members of Congress including Rep. Mia Love (R-UT), Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA) and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA). She served as a Senior Policy Advisor with responsibilities that covered Homeland Security Committee issues, defense, technology, telecommunications and internet, transportation, and infrastructure, amongst other major policy areas. Ayshia also lead the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus portfolio for Co-Chairman Rep. Fitzpatrick.
In 2016, Connors served as the director of African American Engagement and Media for the Republican National Committee (RNC), prioritizing extensive outreach to African American voters in battleground states while simultaneously advising several congressional races nationwide. In addition to time served at the RNC, Connors also served on the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) as deputy director of strategic media, and as the President of the Black Republican Congressional Staff Association for both the House and Senate.
Connors is a graduate of Arizona State University and is actively involved with the New Solutions Advisory Board, iCivics, and 20/20 Leaders of America.
